It’s a play of different energies and textures. a collage of my current state of mind. a memory of the df and manifestation of its return. The spectrum of dancey, songs to cry in the club but the club is my apartment. Fun, bouncy, free flowing at moments. Hard, darker and jarring at others.
Mixing was fresh to me when I started Danceclass. It gave me the time and space to learn in a comfy and supportive environment. It also connected me with a group of talented women that are killing it in the scene. Although the structure of the program was put out of whack and drawn out, it gave me the time to listen to and get interested in more sounds and structures. Danceclass gave me that little push of confidence which, with a name like E3P, is so much of the process.
By nature of having listened to more, I think I have a better grasp on the sounds that I gravitate towards. My taste is constantly evolving and consistently indecisive as different opportunities to listen and play flow through.

For an upcoming live performance, Josh (@amuwa) and I are in the process of collating a database of dreams people have been dreaming of having. With the power of ASMR , sound collage and learning by osmosis , we aim to provide an act of manifestation and affirmation, helping dreams become a dream reality. Long or short, dumb, sexy, absurd, mundane, wholesome, and/or cute, you can contribute anonymously here:
It starts out with trying to do some uni work, putting on a mix on soundcloud or V/A on bandcamp and then not leaving. If I’ve got a particular sound I’m looking for, I usually start with a label or producer and go from there. Sharing music is also my kink.
Ah! I honestly can’t pinpoint. Producer, DJ and label friends in eora and elsewhere are always churning out goodness. It’s always inspiring to feel surrounded with creativity, energy and support. Brooklyn label Kindergarten records has been churning out some crazy sounds recently - wacky club textures galore. Causal Chains out of Montreal have also been delivering a diverse range of leftfield sounds.
Community radio has been a great way of engaging with the Sydney scene in a new way. Especially when covering different shows and working with different briefs, it’s pushed me to play with different sounds and paces. It’s been great for diversifying my ears and style, especially with FBI’s focus on Aus and local music.
Elaborate meals, therapy, lotta music and british bake off.
I’ve always loved the community for the support and inspiration. I can’t wait to return to it stronger than ever.
